THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!

Currahee Mountain Dept. 1303 Marine Corps League would like to take this opportunity to say thank you. Toccoa and Stephens County for helping to make the 2008 Toys for Tots annual Toy drive a success. As you know we were extremely short of toys two weeks before Christmas. The response was overwhelming. We were able to give each child four toys and assists additional families that came by and asked for help.

We were able to help 621 children this year. A sad note is that 46 families did not pick up their requested gifts. However, we were able to distribute these toys to other needy youngsters for a total of 667 bags distributed. We could not have done what we did without the help of everyone in Toccoa and Stephens County.

We would like to thank the following businesses and individuals who made this possible. Adams Container Corp., Stephens County Government Building, Caterpillar, Inc., CVS Pharmacy, Dept. of Juvenile Justice, Dollar General, Eastanollee, Dollar General, Toccoa, Ferro Corp., First Franklin Financial, Ingles, Patterson Pump, Quality Food, Quincy's, Robertson's Furniture,  Stephens Federal Downtown, Stephens Federal Big A, Standard Register, Stovall Building Supply, Toccoa Ford, Toccoa Record, Tractor Supply, First Methodist Church, Ladies Bible Class First Methodist, First Presbyterian Church, Liberty Baptist Church, Ebenezer Baptist Church, Toccoa Falls College, Central Machine Shop, U.S. Postal Service, Toccoa, Toccoa Amateur Radio Club, Our Salon, Red Hat Ladies, The Woman's Club, George Peppers, Mr. & Mrs. Mike Crozier, Stephens County High School, N.E. American Legion Post 104 fund raiser for building fund: "Blood Oath" written by Jimmy Cherokee Waters, Epic in scope, seeped in history, this novel presents the settlement of the Southern Mountains of the American frontier. From the Great Smokes of Tennessee and the Carolinas, through the Georgia Blue Ridge, follow the lives of both the white settlers and the Cherokee, their interactions governed by the famed Blood Oath. This ancient Blood Oath of the Cherokee demanded blood for blood, and carnage soon followed as the war hatchet, the screams of captives, and the crack of muskets transformed the quiet stillness of the mountain river valleys into an eighteenth century war zone. William Joseph

The greatest music comes from within. In case of the extraordinary young piano virtuoso William Joseph, that statement applies both literally and figuratively.

William has been in demand for a number of high-profile musical events, including a tour with Josh Groban in 2004, a two-month tour with Clay Aiken in 2005, and supporting such artist as Barbara Streisand and Natalie Cole. This is not an ordinary piano concert-expect to be mesmerized!
