INSP Films’ Premiere of “County Line” Deemed Successful

INSP Film’s newest release, “County Line”, premiered at the Historic Ritz Theatre this past weekend.

The film was shot in Toccoa back in 2016 at locations throughout the city, including Toccoa Raceway and the Stephens County Court House.

Premiere events were on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and President of the Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce Julie Paysen said it was a successful weekend.

“It was an amazing night,” said Paysen. “Of course we had a sell out Friday night and in the crowd, we welcomed a few executives from INSP- the Senior Vice President of Programming Doug Butts was with us as well as Gary Wheeler, who is the Vice President of INSP Films and the producer of “County Line.” Grant Goodeve was also in the audience and he was one of the stars in the movie. We had an opportunity to have them share and do a Q&A with the audience and it’s always fun for them to interact.”

The beginning of the Friday night premiere began with a reading of the proclamation that Toccoa is now a film-friendly city, which was approved by the City Commission last week.

Other showings of the movie also sold out and, according to Paysen, close to 1400 people came out to view the film throughout the weekend.

Paysen said that INSP does not have a specific release date for County Line on the network because they have a full timeline to create.

“Projected that it may be the first quarter of next year because they’re having to lay out the entire timeline of how this is going to be released,” said Paysen. “All those pieces are included and one thing that Gary Wheeler spoke of Friday evening was that if they continue to get the positive feedback they’re receiving, it may be that they make a series out of County Line.”

Paysen said that Georgia is now number one in the U.S. for film production and is looking forward to more film opportunities for Toccoa.

“We are so proud of that but that is only because our state legislators have made it so attractive for the film industry to do business in Georgia,” said Paysen. “We are one of the many beneficiaries here in Toccoa-Stephens County and the exposure is great for us. We are looking forward to many opportunities in the future when it comes to film production.”
