Toccoa Main Street Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby said that the city appreciates all of the businesses who participated in this year’s “Taste.”

“It was great in many respects,” said Crosby. “It was a beautiful day. We had a lot of people coming out. We had the classic car show, as well as the art show, so that was great. Our crowds were not necessarily as large as the other years, but we had 17 different restaurants and caterers participate. We are very thankful for that.”

Crosby said that the city also appreciates all of the volunteers that helped make this year’s “Taste of Toccoa” happen.

This year, “Taste” saw a decline in tokens purchased of about 4,500 from last year, dropping from 25,595 in 2014 to 20,911 in 2015.

Crosby said that Main Street will sit down and work with city officials and local businesses that participate in “Taste” to see how to improve the event moving forward and improve that number of tokens purchased.
