“A Taste of Toccoa” Held Saturday

“A Taste of Toccoa” celebrates its 25th year.

Saturday, a large crowd came to downtown Toccoa on a beautiful day to enjoy the annual culinary event.

People tried different foods from a host of Stephens County restaurants and caterers, while enjoying entertainment and more.

This was the first year that Main Street Toccoa held “Taste” on a Saturday.

Main Street Events Coordinator Sharon Crosby said that there were no major problems during the event.

This year, “Taste” was held in conjunction with a Car Show sponsored by the City of Toccoa to benefit Stephens County Relay for Life and the Currahee Artists’ Guild Spring Art Show.

Crosby said that the annual awards ceremony for this year’s “Taste” will take place Friday at 3 p.m. at Toccoa City Hall, in the commission meeting room.

It is at that awards ceremony that people will find out who won the different awards handed out at “Taste,” including the People’s Choice Award.
