Art Speaker Tonight in Toccoa

The director of the Georgia Museum of Art will speak in Toccoa tonight.

Bill Eiland will speak at a special program tonight at the Mitchell Allen Meeting Room, located at the historic train depot in downtown Toccoa.

A reception will start at 5:30 p.m. and the program itself will start at 6 p.m.

The program is free for the public to attend.

Eiland is speaking in conjunction with the “Inspired Georgia” traveling state art show that is currently at the Mitchell Allen Meeting Room.

Main Street Toccoa, the Currahee Artists Guild, and the Stephens County Historical Society is hosting the exhibit.

The traveling exhibit showcases works of Georgia artists from the 1970s to the 1990s.

It remains on display in the Mitchell Allen Meeting Room through Friday.

It is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and is free for the public to view.
