Back to School Prayer Motorcade Saturday

An annual start of school event will once again take place this weekend.

The annual Stephens County Back-to-school Prayer Motorcade is set for this coming Saturday.

Jeraldine Hayes and Mary Owenby are once again coordinating the event that will visit each Stephens County school, along with some other locations.

Hayes said everyone, including school staff, students, and parents, are invited and encouraged to participate.

The route is as follows:

8:00 a.m. – Stephens County Board of Education office
8:10 a.m. – Liberty Elementary School
8:30 a.m. – Whitman Street Head Start
8:50 a.m. – Toccoa Elementary School
9:05 a.m. – Big A Elementary School
9:15 a.m. – Stephens County Middle School
9:25 a.m. – Stephens County High School
9:35 a.m. – Bus Shop

Hayes went on to say she is excited not only about this year’s prayer motorcade, but also about the upcoming school year in Stephens County, despite all the changes that have taken place.

“I strongly believe that everything that has happened is going to work for everyone, this county, the students, the teachers, everyone involved,” said Hayes.
