Chamber Holds Pastor Appreciation Breakfast

The Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce recognizes local pastors.

The Chamber hosted its 2nd annual Pastor Appreciation Breakfast on March 26 at the Georgia Baptist Conference Center.

Chamber members, along with Chamber Board members and Ambassadors all invited their pastors to attend this event and the Chamber reports that almost 30 churches were represented at the event.

Toccoa Falls College President Dr. Bob Myers served as the keynote speaker for the event, saying that Toccoa needs a strong church and telling the pastors they are the leaders of that church.

Other speakers at the Pastor Appreciation Breakfast included Chamber Board Chair Lee Ellen Fields, Toccoa First United Methodist Church Associate Pastor Tom Fish, Ebenezer Baptist Church Pastor Andy Childs, Chamber Vice Chair Brian Akin, and Georgia Baptist Conference Center Director Bill Wheeler.

According to the Chamber, a free breakfast and a “thank you” gift was provided to the Senior Pastor of the participating churches. The Chamber went on to say that the gift bags were filled with locally made and offered gifts.
