Christmas Activities Underway in Lavonia

Toccoa is not the only community getting into the holiday spirit.

Lavonia lit up its Christmas tree for the holidays at an event on Monday.

The annual tree lighting ceremony at the Gazebo on Main Street in Lavonia is the town’s traditional kick off to the holiday Christmas season.

Those attending were treated to live holiday music as well as hot chocolate and cookies for everyone.

Coming up Sunday is Lavonia’s annual Christmas parade.

And over at St. Mary’s Sacred Heart Hospital in Lavonia, Auxiliary members there lit the annual Love Light Christmas Tree at a separate event, also on Monday
