Clearer Day Expected After Monday Storms

It looks like a clearer day is in the forecast for the area today after storms moved through the region Monday.

Those storms dumped a total of .24 inches of rain on downtown Toccoa.

However, some areas may have received more than that.

There were also reports of hail in areas of Stephens County, especially the Eastanollee area, as well as reports of some isolated flooding of roads in the region.

The rain and severe weather moving through all of northeast Georgia also affected sports action Monday as the Stephens County High School baseball game at Buford High School was cancelled.

No make up date was announced for that game on Monday.
