Currahee Farmer and Artisan Market Set for Saturday

An annual summertime event returns to the Currahee Club this weekend.

Saturday is the 4th annual Currahee Farmer and Artisan Market on the grand lawn of the Currahee Amenity Campus at the Currahee Club in Stephens County.

The Currahee Club is partnering with the Stephens County Farmers Market, Currahee Artists Guild, local businesses, and artisans for the event again this year.

Currahee Club Community Manager Anne Shurley said they are excited about the plans for Saturday’s event.

“This will be a fun-filled day of strolling through the market on the Grand Lawn, sampling food, wine, and shopping,” said Shurley. “The community will have the opportunity to purchase the freshest vegetables, herbs, fruits, gourmet cookies, oats, honey, homemade jams, jellies, preserves, pickles, relishes, gourmet salsas, handmade soaps, lotions, candles, quilts, crochet items, baked goods, children’s books, hiking canes, bird houses, yard art, signs, and wreaths. Community artists will have an assortment of pottery, paintings, and photographs and Currahee Vineyard will have a tasting booth for their wine. Yonah Mountain Pickers will be playing dulcimer music.”

Saturday’s annual Currahee Farmer and Artisan Market will run from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Currahee Club, which is located at the end of Oak Valley Road in Toccoa.

Also, the new 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG will be broadcasting live from the event between 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.
