Film Crew Takes Over Downtown Areas

Downtown Toccoa felt a lot like Hollywood on Wednesday.

That’s as crews in town shooting a movie set up shop at several downtown locations throughout the day on Wednesday.

Those locations included the Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce offices, the historic Stephens County Courthouse, and the Ritz Theatre at the Schaefer Center.

The movie being filmed in Toccoa is called “County Line” and it is being made by INSP Films.

That is the same company that shot the film, “Heritage Falls,” in Toccoa earlier this year.

Filming for the latest movie, “County Line,” has been taking place for the last couple of weeks around Toccoa and Stephens County.

A number of other locations have been featured, such as Toccoa Speedway.

Filming is expected to wrap up in the next couple of days, according to officials.

INSP Films Vice President of Original Movies Gary Wheeler said “County Line” will be a crime drama set in the rural South.

He called it something completely new for INSP Films.

The movie is scheduled for release in late summer or early Fall of 2017.
