Ga. DOT Announces Area Road Work

The Georgia Department of Transportation said it has routine maintenance activities scheduled this week in Stephens and surrounding counties.

In Stephens County, a crew will mow the rights of way alongside State Route 365.

The DOT said the roadway shoulder will be closed as this work occurs.

Moving to Franklin County, a crew will inspect drainage structures for State Routes 59, 51, and 106.

In Banks County, a crew will clean and restore ditches alongside State Routes 98 and 198.

The shoulder of the roadway will be closed while the BanksCounty work takes place.

Finally in Habersham County, a crew will repair edge rutting along State Route 197 and the shoulders of the roadway will be closed as that work occurs.

Crews are working through Friday as weather permits from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The DOT reminds motorists to use caution in all work zones.
