GBI Releases Sketch in Rabun Co. Bank Robbery Case

rabun robberAuthorities are still asking for the public’s assistance in finding out who robbed a Rabun County bank earlier this month.

On February 8 at about 12:50 p.m. a bank robber entered the Rabun County Bank on U.S. Highway 441 North in Dillard and demanded money.

An undisclosed amount of money was taken.

According to the GBI, the suspect left the scene in a late 1990s model black Ford Explorer.

The GBI described the suspect as a black male with a light complexion in his late 20s or early 30s with a heavy build and standing about 6 feet 2 inches to 6 feet 4 inches in height.

Also, the GBI said the suspect has visible tattoos on his hands.

getaway vehicleAuthorities have now released a sketch of the robbery suspect and a photograph of the getaway vehicle.

The Dillard Police Department, Rabun County Sheriff’s Office, and GBI are all investigating the case.
