Hospital Announces Christmas Card Contest Winner

Stephens County Hospital is getting ready for the holiday season.

Thursday, Hospital officials went to Toccoa Elementary School to award this year’s winner of the hospital’s annual Christmas Card contest.

Toccoa Elementary School fourth grader Lilly Kate Farrar won this year’s contest, meaning her drawing will be on the front of the Christmas card sent out by Stephens County Hospital.

Stephens County Hospital Administrator Ed Gambrell said Lilly Kate’s drawing stood out from another strong group of pictures.

“Just the artistic nature of it, she really has a lot of talent,” said Gambrell. “This is, I believe, the fourth year we have a Christmas card contest at Stephens County Hospital and everyone has been great, but Lilly Kate’s was outstanding.”

Meanwhile, Lilly Kate said she is very excited to win.

“I had a church and I watercolored it and I had a snowman on it,” she said.

Besides having her drawing grace the front of this year’s Stephens County Hospital Christmas card, Lilly Kate also received a gift from Stephens County Hospital for winning this year’s contest.
