Howard Selected for All-Star Games

A Stephens County High School football player is heading to both a national and a state high school football All-Star game this month.

Earlier this month, Indians’ senior running back A.J. Howard was invited to attend both the Elite Prospect Scouting All-American Game in Dallas, Texas and the North-South All-Star Game in Columbus, Georgia

The 3rd Annual Elite Prospect Scouting Senior Showcase puts together two teams consisting of top high school seniors in America each year that are evaluated and chosen based on a nomination process.

That game is scheduled for this Wednesday, December 21 at AT&T Stadium in Dallas, Texas.

Meanwhile, the Georgia Coaches Association North-South Classic is made up of top Georgia senior football players who are hand picked by a selection committee and then after the athlete accepts the invitation, he also has to be nominated by the head coach.

At the North-South game, Howard will be playing on the North team coached by Travis Noland, former Stephens County Head Football Coach and current Oconee County Head Football Coach.

This year’s Georgia Coaches Association North-South Classic is scheduled for Friday, December 30 at Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Georgia.

Howard said he is blessed and honored to be chosen for both All-Star games and plans on participating.
