Indians Face Hart in Football Tonight

Stephens County wraps up non-region football play tonight on the road.

This evening, the Indians head to Hartwell to take on the Hart County Bulldogs.

The Indians are 3-1 on the season after last week’s 27-7 win over Habersham Central at home in Toccoa.

Meanwhile, Hart County is still searching for its first win of the year.

The Bulldogs are 0-4 during what has been a tough non-region schedule.

Last week, Hart County fell to Blessed Trinity by a score of 43-0.

Indians Linebackers Coach Rocky Fulbright said that record is not indicative of the type of team Hart County is.

“They have had some pretty bad luck,” said Fulbright. “They are a typical Hart County team, big, tall, athletic, can run all over the place. They play hard football. They have had some bad breaks in the first few games. It is a good rivalry that we have. It is good that we are able to play them. I think we will have a big crowd there, both them and us. We are looking forward to it.”

Kick-off from Hart County High School in Hartwell is set for 7:30 p.m.

Coverage on the new 93.1 FM and AM 630 WNEG starts at 6:30 p.m. with the Indian Road Show. Coach’s Corner starts at 7 p.m. and pre-game coverage from the stadium starts at 7:15 p.m.
