Indians Fall to Madison County

Madison County took advantage of Stephens County fielding mistakes and at the plate the Indians stranded 13 men on base leading to a 5-2 Madison County win Friday night in Danielsville.

Indians Pitcher Davis Swenson was the hard luck loser giving up eight hits and just two earned runs in seven innings. Swenson is now 4-1 on the mound this season. Aubry Davis picked up the win for Madison County allowing 1 run in 5 innings.

Stephens County was led at the plate by Kole Rogers who had three hits. Kooper Briley and Bryson Fowler had RBI’s. With the loss, the Indians fall to 2-6 in Region 8-AAAA and 12-11 overall. Madison County improves to 10-11 and 5-3 in the Region.

The two teams will meet again Saturday evening at The Reservation to make-up a rain out from earlier in the week . Airtime Saturday night is 6:35 P.M. with first pitch at 6:45 P.M. on 93.1 FM & AM-630 WNEG.
