Lady Indian Softball Back Home After Weekend Tourney

The Stephens County High School softball team returns home for a non-region game today against Rabun County after a busy weekend.

On Friday and Saturday, the Lady Indians played in the Oconee Veterans Memorial Tournament in Watkinsville.

Stephens County went 3 and 2 during the tournament.

They started on Friday afternoon with an 11-3 win against Hebron Christian Academy.

Later Friday evening, the Lady Indians lost a hard fought game against Blessed Trinity by a 7-4 score.

Moving to Saturday, the Lady Indians started with a tough, extra-inning loss to East Jackson, 7-6 in 8 innings.

In their second game Saturday, the Lady Indians beat George Walton Academy, 4-2.

Stephens County wrapped up the tournament with a 6-2 win over Elbert County.

The Lady Indians’ game today against Rabun County will start at 5:30 p.m. at the Reservation in Toccoa.
