Lady Indians Golf Team Places 11th in State Tournament

The Stephens County High School girl’s golf team recently competed in the quad A Girls State Golf Tournament May 22-23 at Maple Ridge Golf Club in Columbus.

This was the first year that GHSA held a two-day event and because of heavy rain, day two was cancelled, leaving only the scores from day one to be counted.

The SCHS Lady Indians, including Abby Akin, Andi Brock, Emilee Childs and Breanna Leverett, shot a team score of 316, putting them in 11^th place in the state. They were just one shot shy of being in a 3-way tie for 9^th place.
