Little League Update

The Toccoa 11 and 12-year-old softball Little League All-Star team will play today for a state title after defeating Northern Little League 10-0 in four innings Wednesday night in Columbus.

Mackenzie Rogers and Natalie Morgan combined to throw a no-hitter, allowing just two walks.

Rogers faced the minimum through the first two innings, while Morgan struck out the last two batters of the game with runners on second and third.

Morgan led the Toccoa offense going 3 for 3 with three RBIs.

Kayley Sellers was 2 for 3 with two RBIs, while Alanna Dunson and Bailey Dobbs had two hits each.

Toccoa will face Dudley Little League for the state title.

Dudley defeated West Point 12-1 in the other semi-final matchup.

First pitch today is scheduled for 6 p.m. and airtime on AM 630 WNEG and is set for 5:45 p.m.

Meanwhile, the Toccoa 10 and 11-year-old baseball All-Star team finished its tournament with a loss Wednesday in Peachtree City to Murphey-Candler Little League by an 11-1 score.
