Man Wanted on Shooting Charges Turns Himself In

A man wanted on charges in connection with a shooting last weekend is now in police custody.

Toccoa Police Chief Tim Jarrell says that 26-year-old Terrell Seanta Williams of Toccoa turned himself on Thursday to police.

Williams faces one charge of aggravated assault in connection to the shooting that occurred last Saturday night at a home on West Franklin Street.

Jarrell says that when officers arrived at the residence on West Franklin Street Saturday night, they found that 39-year-old Michael Pete Lipscomb of Toccoa had been shot three or four times.

According to Jarrell, Lipscomb is recovering from his injuries after being treated and released from Greenville Memorial Hospital.

Authorities have not released a motive for the shooting.
