Mobile Job Unit in Toccoa Today

People looking for employment can take advantage of a mobile unit coming to Toccoa today.

The Georgia Mountains Regional Commission Workforce Development Mobile Career Coach unit will be at the Toccoa-Stephens County Library from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Toccoa-Stephens County Library is located on West Savannah Street in Toccoa.

This is a mobile unit that is an extension of the state’s one-stop workforce delivery system.

Regional Commission officials said the unit will be available to assist individuals with searching and/or applying for jobs online, writing a resume and/or cover letter, discerning career interests, or assisting those who would like to learn about tuition assistance and on-the-job training programs.

Officials said that individuals seeking assistance through the mobile unit must be a resident of one of the 13 counties that make up the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission or must be or have been employed by a company that is operating or has operated in the Georgia Mountains service area.

The 13 counties that make up the Georgia Mountains Regional Commission are Stephens, Banks, Dawson, Forsyth, Franklin, Habersham, Hall, Hart, Lumpkin, Rabun, Towns, Union, and White.
