Mountain Judicial Circuit Hires New A.D.A.

The Mountain Judicial Circuit has a new Assistant District Attorney.

Current District Attorney George Christian recently announced the appointment of Ben Green to the post of Assistant D.A. for the Mountain Judicial Circuit.

Christian said Green will serve the circuit as the narcotics prosecutor for Stephens, Habersham, and Rabun counties.

In that role, Christian said Green will lead any state prosecution of individuals arrested during the multi-million dollar drug trafficking operation takedown in Stephens and Habersham counties, as well as in South Carolina, in February.

Prior to employment at the District Attorney’s office, Green served as an Assistant District Attorney in Jackson County and more recently practiced law as a partner in the law firm of Bradford, Primm, and Green in Jefferson.

Green is also a veteran and a former UH-60 Blackhawk pilot and Company Commander.

Christian said the District Attorney’s office and the citizens of the three-county Mountain Judicial Circuit will be well served by the experience, competence, and leadership qualities that Green brings to the office.
