Move Planned Later This Year for School Offices

The Stephens County School System has plans to move its central offices to a new location in the coming months.

According to Stephens County School Superintendent Bryan Dorsey, the school system’s central offices will move from their current location on Mize Road out to the old Big A School.

That has most recently been the home of Mountain Education Charter High School’s Toccoa location.

However, Mountain Ed has moved out to the old Eastanollee Elementary School starting this Fall.

Dorsey said the move is something that can be of some benefit to the school system.

“One, it is a newer building with better insulation,” said Dorsey.

Dorsey said that there is no exact timeline for a move to take place.

However, he said the goal is to make the move later this year, around October or into November.

Dorsey says that the school system will provide significant notification before any moves take place.
