Nathan Deal to be at NGTC’s Campus for Groundbreaking Today

Governor Nathan Deal will be on the Clarkesville Campus of North Georgia Technical College today to break ground on the college’s new Industrial Technology Center. The Groundbreaking is scheduled for 10 a.m. this morning.

Meantime, a graduate of NGTC’s Industrial Systems Technology Program is now wanting to help future students in the programs.

Adam Fulbright is offering a $250 annual Fulbright Industrial Systems Technology Scholarship to students beginning with the fall 2017 semester.

Students wishing to apply must be enrolled in the NGTC IST Program and demonstrate a legitimate financial need.

Fulbright was a student at North Georgia Tech and graduated with his IST Diploma in 2013.

He now works in the field at Pharma Tech.

Fulbright said he remembers struggling financially in college.

He said he wanted to help ease the burden for today’s students, even if it was only paying for  a semester’s worth of text books.

Applications for the  Industrial Systems Technology (IST) Program’s Fulbright scholarship are available by calling Cynthia Brown in the North Georgia Tech Foundation office at 706-754-7714 or emailing [email protected].
