NE Ga. Agencies Receive Spay/Neuter Grants

A number of area agencies are among those who have received grant money to assist with the spaying and neutering of Georgia’s companion animals.

The grants were awarded recently.

According to the Georgia Department of Agriculture, 41 state licensed animal shelters and animal rescue organizations were awarded a total of more than $200,000 in grants.

A number of those were in the northeast Georgia area.

Among those are Habersham County Animal Care and Control, Hart County Animal Rescue, Hart County Humane Society, and Rabun Paws for Life.
