NGTC Announces EAGLE Award Winner

A Stephens County resident is the winner of this year’s EAGLE award at North Georgia Technical College.

This week, the school announced that Grace Todd of Stephens County has been selected as North Georgia Technical College’s 2015 Exceptional Adult Georgian in Literacy Education, or EAGLE, winner.

EAGLE is a statewide program that recognizes and rewards excellence among students enrolled in adult education programs and is sponsored by the Technical College System of Georgia through the Office of Adult Education.

The program is designed to create greater awareness of educational opportunities that are available in local communities and to foster greater involvement in lifelong learning.

Students who have demonstrated superior achievement in adult education programs are nominated by their instructors for this tribute.

Todd is a student at the Stephens County Adult Education Center, and her instructor is Jackie Morgan.
She will represent North Georgia Technical College and compete in the regional competition in February and will attend the EAGLE Conference in Atlanta on March 14-16, 2016.
North Georgia Technical College Dean for Adult Education Shelby Ward said that they know that Todd will represent the college well during the next rounds of competition at the region and state levels.
