NGTC Receives Donation for Criminal Justice Scholarships

A Toccoa business makes a donation to the North Georgia Technical College Foundation.

Recently, the North Georgia Technical College Foundation received a check for $5,000 from detective agency Phillips and Associates Inc. in Toccoa to be used for five $1,000 scholarships for students in the Criminal Justice Program at North Georgia Technical College.

North Georgia Technical College Director of Institutional Advancement Cynthia Brown said that the Foundation is thrilled to receive this donation to help deserving students with documented financial need complete their Criminal Justice Program, graduate and advance in their chosen career.

Brown added that Rick and Letha Phillips grew up in this area, and the school appreciates their generosity and investment in North Georgia Tech students and future of the community.
The North Georgia Technical College Foundation is a 501c3 non-profit organization whose board consists of volunteer community leaders from the school’s eight-county service area.
School officials said the mission of the Foundation is to create awareness of the financial needs of the College and encourage donations of resources which are managed wisely to assure quality education for its students.
