Non-Profit Holding Benefit Concert on Saturday

A non-profit organization will hold a benefit concert this weekend in downtown Toccoa.

The organization is called “HEAL,” or “Helping Enable Another’s Life.”

Executive Director Debra Fine said the goal of “HEAL” is to help veterans and soldiers returning from the battlefield integrate back into society.

“The hopes are to be able to bring in complementary alternative medicines, along with faith-based and spiritual healing to help these men and women come home,” said Fine.

To help raise funds for the group, a concert is taking place on Saturday night in downtown Toccoa.

It will run from 4 to 9 p.m. at 20 Doyle Street.

Fine said everyone is invited to attend.

“I am encouraging everyone to bring a chair,” said Fine. “We are going to have some good, old-fashioned bluegrass, a lot of gospel … and join me in collecting for the property I so very much want to purchase that is the beginning of ‘HEAL’.”

It is a donation-only concert to attend.
