Planning Underway for Toccoa Christmas Parade

Plans are well underway for this year’s Toccoa Christmas Parade.

The Toccoa Woman’s Club is once again organizing the parade.

Toccoa Woman’s Club President Bonnie Sparks said that it will again take place the first Saturday in December.

“This year, our theme is ‘Christmas in the South’,” said Sparks.  “It is going to be Saturday, December 7 at 4 p.m.  We will be lining up on Doyle Street in front of Regions Bank.”

For those organizations wanting to enter this year’s parade, the club is accepting applications now.

Sparks said anyone who is interested can pick up those applications at a number of different locations.

“Applications can be picked up at Next to Me Medical Supplies, the Head Quarters Salon, or you can download them off of the Chamber of Commerce website,” said Sparks.  “We are asking that applications be returned by November 30th.”

Sparks said those applications can either be returned in person to the Head Quarters Salon on Currahee Street, or mailed to Bonnie Sparks at 450 East Currahee Street, Toccoa, Georgia, 30577.

For those entering the parade, display numbers will be available at the Head Quarters Salon starting on December 5 and continuing through 2 p.m. on December 6 or at the front of Regions Bank on the day of the parade.
