The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office continues to investigate an alleged theft from a U-haul vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office responded to West Currahee Street on February 19, where it was reported that a tow dolly was taken from one of the U-Haul vehicles on site. The tow dolly had not been seen since the last vehicle servicing on January 2.

Elsewhere, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to two other burglaries on February 19.

First, a deputy responded to Mize Road where a resident reported that $1,000 in jewelry, $600 in office equipment, and other items and cash were taken from the residence.

In addition, a deputy responded to Ed Davis Road, where a resident reported that an estimated $290 in personal property, including clothes and other items, was taken from the residence.

Finally, the Toccoa Police Department responded to a reported theft on February 17.

According to the report on file, a green 15-speed bicycle was taken from the back porch of an Andrews Court residence.

The investigations into all of those incidents also continue.
