Reflections Event Center Celebrates Ribbon Cutting

The City of Toccoa celebrated with the Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce and the community on Tuesday with a grand opening and ribbon cutting at Reflections Event Center at Lake Toccoa.

According to city officials Reflections Event Center is another step to enhance the Lake Toccoa area and the facility is for large events for as many as 200 or so people.

Toccoa Mayor Jeanette Jamieson is thrilled with the center and the teamwork that made it happen.

“It is without question the loveliest facility of its kind in Northeast Georgia. It makes you so proud to be a part of a group that wants nothing but what is best for the community, and this is one more project that we have finished,” said Jamieson.

Jamieson said that much appreciation goes to city employees.

“We would be remiss if we didn’t recognize that probably 75% of the work on this building was done by city employees and we are so fortunate. They are so hard working, talented, and dedicated. It’s amazing how georgeous this building is. People need to see it, and I’m sure they will.”

Bill Smith is the Facility Manager. Smith also oversees The Links at Lake Toccoa Golf Course, and Ping’s Grill and said he is blessed to be a part of it.

“It’s amazing. I can’t ask for a better office view. Everyday I come here and can’t believe I get to work in a place so beautiful.”

Smith said that they are currently offering a rent special for the Reflections Event Center at Lake Toccoa.

“Through September 1st we are running a special-4 hour block for $300, and 8 hour block for $500. It’s a wonderful facility, great view. We had our first wedding here on April 22nd and everyone was very happy. We are looking forward to the future here.”
The City of Toccoa also provided plans for future improvements on Lake Toccoa including a walking path with wooden bridge, a proposed lakeside deck, a new pavilion, and a proposed lakeside driving range with floating range targets.
