SCHS Boys Soccer Teams Start Season

Boys’ soccer season is underway at Stephens County High School.

On Monday, the Indian JV and Varsity Boys’ Soccer teams faced Franklin County.

The Indian varsity team came away with a 1-1 tie against the Lions.

Stephens County’s lone goal was scored by junior Austin Garcia late in the second half.

Meanwhile, the Indian JV boys’ soccer team lost to Franklin County, 1-0.

Indian Boys’ Soccer Head Coach Derek Demmler says that he is very proud of the hard work that the team has shown so far and is looking forward to continuing building as the season progresses.

The JV squad takes the field again on Thursday at 5 p.m. at home against Hart County.

Meanwhile, the varsity boys’ and girls’ soccer teams are next on the field at home on Friday against Rabun County.
