SCHS Hoops Splits At Hart Co.

The Stephens County Indians broke open a seven-point halftime lead, outscoring Hart County 24-3 in the third quarter, and routed the Bulldogs 74-44 Tuesday night in Hartwell.

Hart County scored the first seven points of the game and led by four at the end of the first quarter, but the Indians took the lead midway through the second quarter and led the rest of the way.

Deundra Singleton led the Indians with 16 points. Chaz Bridges added 14 points, including 4 three-pointers, and Nunu Walker was also in double figures with 10 points.

Hart County was led by Jalen Brown with 10 points.

With the road win, the Indian boys move to 3-1 on the season.

Meanwhile, it was all Hart County in the girls’ game as the Lady Bulldogs led by 15 points at the half and went on to a 69-39 victory over the Stephens County Lady Indians.

Torrion Starks of Hart County led all scorers with 10 points.

Stephens County was led by Erin Carter with 13 points, including 3 three-pointers.

The loss drops the Lady Indians to 0-6.

Stephens County will return home on Friday when they host Seneca at the Currahee Arena.
