SCHS JROTC Takes Second in State

One of Stephens County High School’s JROTC teams puts itself among the best in the whole state in its competition.

The Stephens County High School JROTC Raider mixed team went to State Finals last weekend in Griffin and placed 2nd overall in the state.

According to the Stephens County High School JROTC website, a Raider team typically consists of ten members with one serving as the team leader.

Typically, a Raider competition consists of five events, one after the other, but the events can vary.

Some of the events can include cross-country rescue, knots, map reading, an obstacle course, foot marching, marksmanship, and running with push-ups and sit-ups included.
