SCHS, SCMS Basketball Update

The Stephens County High School basketball teams will get back into play this week as both the Indians and Lady Indians will participate in holiday tournaments.

Stephens County’s boys will be in Walhalla, South Carolina starting today for their tournament.

Meanwhile, the Lady Indians will be in a tournament down in Hartwell.

AM 630 WNEG and wnegradio.com will pick back up with Indians and Lady Indians play-by-play action on Saturday, January 2 when Stephens County visits Hart County.

Meanwhile in middle school basketball action before the holiday break, Stephens County faced Madison County on December 18.

In 7th grade girls’ play, Stephens County won 43-20.

Tynajiah Eades had 17 points and Samara Walker had six points for the Lady Rebels, while Breanna Taylor scored five points.

Meanwhile, the Rebel 7th grade boys won their first game of the year over Madison County, 37-32.

Malachi Colbert led the Rebels with 10 points, while Seth Jameson and Zach Feaster each scored eight points.

We do not currently have 8th grade scores from December 18.
