SCHS Tennis Swept By North Oconee

Stephens County High School tennis drops a pair of matches to a region powerhouse.

The Indian and Lady Indian tennis teams hosted one of the top teams in Region 8-AAAA on Wednesday, North Oconee.

On the girls’ side, the Lady Indians lost 5-0 to North Oconee.

The Lady Indians are now 2-6 on the season and 0-1 in the region.

Meanwhile, the Indian boys saw their six-match winning streak snapped, falling to North Oconee by a 4-1 score.

Carson Keener won a two-hour marathon match in three sets in his singles match to get the lone win for the Indians.

Stephens County’s boys’ tennis team is now 6-2 on the season and 0-1 in the region.

Both the Lady Indian and Indian tennis teams are back in action today at Madison County in another Region 8-AAAA match.
