SCHS Volleyball Drops Pair of Road Matches

The Stephens County Lady Indian volleyball team drops a pair of matches on the road.

Thursday, the Lady Indians lost matches to both White County and to Johnson High School of Gainesville at Johnson.

In the first match, White County swept the Lady Indians in straight sets, winning 28-26 and 25-23.

Then in the second match, Johnson won in straight sets over Stephens County, taking the first set, 25-10, and the second set, 25-14.

For the season, the Lady Indians are now 0-6.

Stephens County is holding its first home matches of the season on Saturday.

The Lady Indians are scheduled to play four matches Saturday at the Currahee Arena as part of an all-day playdate that involved eight teams in all.

Stephens County’s matches are set for 9 a.m., noon, 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Saturday.
