SCHS Volleyball Update

The Stephens County High School Lady Indian volleyball team begins Region 8-AAAA play later today.

Last week, the Lady Indians traveled to White County to participate in a tri-match with White County and Fannin County.

The Lady Indians fell short to Fannin County in straight sets, 25-23 and 25-19, but bounced back against White County and won in straight sets, 25-20 and 25-18.

Then on Saturday, the Lady Indians traveled to Clarke Central to participate in a host of matches.

In the first match, Stephens County lost in straight sets, 25-10 and 25-16.

However, Stephens County won its second match against Hart County in three sets, 25-17, 27-29, and 15-12, and its third match against Cedar Shoals in three sets, 25-19, 20-25, and 15-5.

In their last match of the day, the Lady Indians lost to Monsignor Donovan in straight sets, 26-24 and 25-18.

The Lady Indians now have a record of 7-16 on the season.

They start region play today against Madison County and White County.

Every Tuesday in September will be region play.
