SCMS Basketball Faces Madison Co.

The Stephens County Middle School 8th grade girls used a strong first quarter to pick up another win.

Friday night, the 8th grade Lady Rebels beat Madison County at home, 53-20.

Tynajiah Eades scored 17 points to lead the Lady Rebels, while KeKe Rucker added eight points and Ranajah Verdell scored six points.

Meanwhile, the Stephens County Middle School 7th grade girls also beat Madison County at home on Friday.

The 7th grade Lady Rebels won their game 28-19.

Manisha Colbert scored 11 points and Kayla Smith scored eight points and Ikira Patterson scored six points.

Moving to boys’ action, the Stephens County Middle School 7th grade boys lost to Madison on Friday night by the score of 54-28.

During Friday’s game, Madison County outscored Stephens County 19-7 in the first quarter, grabbing a lead they would not relinquish.

The 7th grade Rebels were led by Xavier Bradley and Zatorian Lacy, who each scored six points.

Finally in 8th grade boys’ action, Stephens County lost to Madison County, 37-29.

Kenny Colwell scored 14 points and Gamarion Carter added nine points.

Stephens County Middle School is scheduled to play Jefferson today.

The boys will be home, while the girls will be at Jefferson.

Games start at 4:30 p.m.
