SCMS Boys Split With Elbert Co.

The Stephens County 7th grade boys basketball team drops another close game.

On Monday evening, the Rebels lost to Elbert County, 50-41.

Darrell Hampton led the 7th grade Rebel boys with 21 points. Zatorian Lacy added 10 points for Stephens County.

Trey Burton led Elbert with 21 points.

Stephens County was only down by two entering the fourth quarter, but Elbert County out-scored the Rebels by seven points, 15-8, in the final quarter to take the victory.

Meanwhile, the Stephens County Middle School 8th grade boys picked up a win over Elbert County by the score of 43-23.

Gamarian Carter led the 8th grade boys with 13 points. William Rudeseal added eight points for Stephens County.

Next up for the Stephens County Middle School boys’ basketball teams is a trip to Madison County on Friday.
