Senior Center Honors Volunteers

The Stephens County Senior Center honors its volunteers.

On Thursday, the Senior Center hosted its annual Volunteer Recognition Luncheon.

Stephens County Senior Center Director Lisa Thomas says they hold the lunch each year to show the center’s volunteers how much the center appreciates what they do.

“The Senior Center could not do without them, especially our Meals on Wheels program,” said Thomas. “We probably had over 80 people here today. Some did bring guests, but most were volunteers or donors or people who help us here at the Center.”

Thomas went on to say that the Senior Center can always use more volunteers.

“We just have so many programs,” said Thomas.

Thursday’s Volunteer Recognition Lunch also included musical entertainment from Jake Cheek.
