Stephens Co. Beats Johnson 19-2

The Stephens County Indian baseball team opened up its final series of the regular season with a resounding 19-2 win Wednesday night over Johnson in three innings.

Stephens County plated five runs in the first inning, seven runs in the second inning, and five more runs in the third inning.

Ben Cleveland went 3 for 3 with 4 RBIs, including a two-run home run, his team-leading 10th of the season.

Logan Bell hit his fourth home run in two days and Davis McCall had three singles and two RBIs for the Indians.

Evan Rumsey also went 2-2 with an RBI at the plate.

Rumsey and McCall teamed up for the win on the mound.

With the win, the Indians improve to 10-5 in Region 8-AAAA and 17-7 overall.

Stephens County wraps up the regular season on Friday at home against Johnson.

First pitch Friday is set for 5:55 p.m.
