Stephens Co. Commission Meets Today

Stephens County Commissioners will meet for a regularly scheduled meeting later today.

The county commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. today for that meeting in the second-floor courtroom of the historic Stephens County Courthouse in downtown Toccoa.

County commissioners will start with a work session to discuss items that are on the agenda.

The business meeting, to vote on agenda items as needed, will follow immediately at the end of the work session.

Items on today’s Stephens County Commission agenda include consideration of a motion to enter into an annual service agreement with Motorola Solutions for emergency communications, consideration of a motion to approve health, dental, and vision insurance premium renewal for Fiscal Year 2017, consideration for the commission to sign a letter of support for the Franklin County Industrial Building Authority’s OneGeorgia grant application for the installation of water and sewer infrastructure at the Central Franklin Industrial Park, consideration of Fiscal Year 2016 budget amendments, and a proclamation for National Safe Boating Week.

Today’s Stephens County Commission meeting is open to the public.
