Stephens Co. Commission Sets Next Amnesty Day

The Stephens County Commission has declared the next county-wide trash Amnesty Day.

On Tuesday, county commissioners unanimously approved setting November 5 as the next amnesty day in Stephens County.

During an amnesty day, Stephens County residents are able to bring large residential trash items to the county road department on Scenic Drive, next to the county jail, and throw them away for free.

Stephens County Administrator Phyllis Ayers said all of the rules and times for the Amnesty Day in November will be the same as the last amnesty day that was held in the Spring.

This will mark the fourth Amnesty Day that Stephens County has held, dating back to the Spring of 2015.
