TenCate Donates to NGTC Foundation

tencate scholarshipA northeast Georgia industry is providing scholarship money to North Georgia Technical College.

Recently, the North Georgia Technical College Foundation announced that it had received a donation from TenCate Geosynthetics.

The foundation said that the funds will be used for scholarships for students with documented financial need who are enrolled in the Industrial Systems Technology Program at North Georgia Technical College.

TenCate is the maker of high strength geosynthetic and industrial fabrics used in various applications in North and South America.

The industry has been located in Cornelia since 1980.

A multinational company, TenCate has 190 employees at the local plant in Cornelia and North Georgia Tech said the industry has always supported the school.

Last year, the North Georgia Technical College Foundation said it awarded over 464 scholarships to students with financial need.
