TFC Announces New Baseball Coach

Toccoa Falls College has its new head baseball coach.

This week, the school announced Nate Bowen as the new head coach for the Screaming Eagles’ baseball team.

Bowen was selected after a national search that had over 100 applicants, according to TFC officials.

The school said that Bowen will also serve as Assistant Athletic Director and assist with administrative duties.

Bowen is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Sports Science from the United States Sports Academy with a focus in Health and Fitness/Sport Management.

TFC officials said that Bowen’s professional experience in college admissions as well as having served as the pitching coach for the Toccoa Falls College Baseball team made him ideally suited for this role.

Bowen is replacing Justin Pollock at the helm of the Toccoa Falls College baseball team.

Pollock announced he was leaving TFC last month to become the head baseball coach at Montreat College in Montreat, North Carolina, which is just east of Asheville.

Pollock had been the head coach at Toccoa Falls College for the last 11 seasons and led the Eagles’ baseball squad to four National Christian College Athletic Association World Series titles and two runner-up finishes.

Bowen begins his duties as head TFC baseball coach on September 1, 2015.
