TFC Renovating Dining Hall

Toccoa Falls College is undertaking a major renovation of its dining hall this summer.

As part of the contract agreed upon by TFC and Chartwells, the college’s new food service provider since August 2014, about $1 million will go towards renovating the dining hall space located in the Student Center.

TFC officials said in this new renovation, seating and table changes will include a variety of high tops, bar tops, soft seating, and communal options.

Also, they said there will be spaces for groups to sit and have conservations as well as spaces for more quiet, one-on-one conversations or study time.

In addition, the school said the flooring will be completely changed from the current tile to aesthetically work within the overall design and food preparation stations will be incorporated in and amongst the seating area.

Along with all of that, the renovations will include relocating some walls and bringing in new food preparation equipment.

According to school officials, Toccoa Falls College is aiming to provide faculty, staff, and students with an experience in the dining hall that promotes an “eat, learn, live” outlook.

The school said the renovations of the dining hall were to begin shortly after Commencement and work is expected to be completed before classes begin in the Fall.
