Toccoa 9-10 Baseball Into District Final

The Toccoa 9 and 10-year-old Baseball All-Stars will play for a district championship tonight.

Toccoa advanced to the final Wednesday night with an 11-1 victory over the Habersham All-Stars in a semi-final game at the Doyle Street Park in Toccoa.

Habersham jumped on top early, scoring the game’s first run in the top of the first inning.

However, the Toccoa All-Stars scored five runs of their own in the bottom of the first inning to take a lead they would not relinquish.

Toccoa plated one run in the second and added a five-run third inning to cap off the scoring.

Zach Feaster led Toccoa with a single and a double, knocking in two runs. Taylor Roach also contributed a couple of singles and two RBIs for Toccoa.

Toccoa will play either Madison or Hart in tonight’s district title game at the Doyle Street Park, with a berth in the state tournament on the line. We do not have a score at this time from the Madison-Hart game, which was played after the Toccoa game.

First pitch for tonight’s district 9-10 title game from the Doyle Street Park is set for 7 p.m. Airtime on AM 630 WNEG and is set for 6:45 p.m.
