Toccoa City Commissioners Meeting Today

Toccoa City Commissioners will wrap up their year with one final scheduled meeting later today.

The city commission is set to meet at 5 p.m. at Toccoa City Hall.

City commissioners moved this meeting up one week to make it prior to the Christmas holiday.

Only a few scheduled items are on the commission’s agenda for tonight.

First, Senior Judge Bob Struble is scheduled to swear in City Commissioners Terry Carter, Gail Fry, and David Austin to new terms of office.

Carter, Fry, and Austin were all re-elected this year without opposition to new four-year terms.

Following that, the city commission is set to elect a Mayor and Vice Mayor for Calendar Year 2016.

Finally, city commissioners will consider moving the January 25, 2016 city commission meeting to January 26.

Today’s Toccoa City Commission meeting also will allow time for public comment.
